QTL Experiment in Brief |
Animals: | The F2 populations originated form a cross between 2 divergently selected lines for high or low primary antibody responses to SRBC. |
Breeds associated:
n/a
|
Design: | Body weight for all individuals was measured at 4, 6, 8, 12, and 18 wk of age. |
Analysis: | In total, 174 microsatellite markers were chosen, equally distributed over the chicken genome. Regression interval mapping was used for QTL detection. Two different genetic models were used: 1) paternal half-sib analysis and 2) line-cross analysis. |
Software: | GeneScan software and Genotyper 2.0 software |
