  •  QTL Experiment in Brief
Animals:An F2 resource population was generated from females of White Leghorn primary breeding stock and males from a commercial strain of Cobb-Cobb broilers.
     Breeds associated:
    n/a
Design:Egg production, egg component weights, shell quality, and growth traits were measured. Body weights were recorded at hatch and weekly to 6 wk of age.
Analysis:All animals were genotyped for 120 microsatellite markers covering 28 autosomal linkage groups. QTL were defined by test statistics exceeding the 5% genome- and chromosome-wise significance thresholds, respectively.
    Software:CriMap and Genotyper software
