    Animals:Birds were from an F2 population generated from half-sib families descended from reciprocal crosses between a fast-growing Arian broiler line and a slow-growing Iranian indigenous chicken breed, Urmia.
     Breeds associated:

    Design:Birds were genotyped using the Illumina chicken 60K Beadchip, and association analyses were performed for plumage color. A total of 42,731 SNPs were used for analysis.
    Analysis:Additive and epistatic association analyses were performed. In the additive association study, two scenarios including all 42,731 SNPs and 5170 independent SNP markers derived from the LD-pruning approach were performed separately. In the epistasis model, only the 5170 independent SNP markers derived from the LD-pruning approach were used.
