Here is a postdoctoral opportunity in Brazil to work on methane traits.

Position and required skills: The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP
Post- Doctoral fellowship (24 months) of R$12.000,00 monthly + a research
fund (15% of the annual value of the fellowship) to be spent on items
related to the research activity. The fellowship demands full-time
dedication to the research project.

The postdoctoral fellow will assist in activities related to the project
(collecting samples in the field, laboratory and statistical analyses,
dissertations and theses, writing reports and scientific articles) and in
related activities. Candidates must have: 1) a doctorate, obtained within a
maximum of 5 years on the final date of registration; 2) motivation to
develop a research project on the topic The genetics of residual feed
intake, enteric methane emission and nutrient digestibility in Nellore
cattle; and 3) proven experience in: a) phenotyping of feed efficiency
and methane emission traits, b) organization of phenotype and genotype
databases, d) genetic and genomic evaluation methodologies, e) genomic
tools applied to animal breeding. Documents for applications are: a)
