Subject: Online course on Genome-Wide Prediction of Complex
        Traits - 24-28 March 2025
Date: Wed, 23 Oct 2024 10:44:36 -0500
Dear all,

We are excited to inform you that registrations are now open for our online
course on Genome-Wide Prediction of Complex Traits, taking place from 24-28
March 2025.

Course website:
https://www.physalia-courses.org/...workshops/course49b/

This course is designed for students, researchers, and professionals looking
to develop expertise in genomic prediction across animal, plant, and human
systems. Over five days, you’ll learn key concepts, including:

• Interprete and calculate the genomic breeding value and genomic risk score

• Understand the different steps involved in a typical genomic prediction
analysis and how to implement computer tools to carry them on.

• Implement cross validation design to estimate the ability of genomic data
to predict complex traits, and its application in human genetics and breeding
  programs.

The course combines lectures with hands-on exercises, offering a perfect
blend of theory and practice. Discussions will be facilitated through live
sessions and a dedicated Slack channel.

Best regards,

Carlo
